Dr. Shaylin Duncan Gignilliat

Veterinarian

Dr. Shaylin Duncan Gignilliat (“JIN-i-LAT”) is a 4th generation native of Greenville. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Winthrop University and attended the University of Georgia for veterinary school, graduating in 2013.

Upon graduation, Dr. G moved to Augusta, GA where she worked in a small animal ER. She and her husband moved back to Greenville in 2014, where she worked in general practice for 4 years. Dr. G returned to emergency medicine briefly before her son was born in 2020. She then resumed general practice as a traveling vet, getting to assist several different veterinary hospitals in the upstate.

In 2022, after working with Dr. Bennett and his team on several occasions, Dr. G decided to make her home at Craven Creek. The quality of medicine and culture made Craven Creek stand out among others in the area, and Dr. Gignilliat was excited to take the opportunity when it arose.

In her free time, Dr. Gignilliat enjoys reading, hiking, riding her bike, and exploring the area with her family. Her home is lively with one toddler, two large dogs, and one wild tabby cat. Dr. Gignilliat is also actively involved with the Greater Greenville Veterinary Medical Association. She served as Co-President for several years and currently serves as Treasurer. Her professional interests are primarily in acute care and soft tissue surgery, but she also enjoys the bonds she gets to make with people and their pets.
